The introduction of landscape architecture onto a building’s roof is nothing new, in fact it’s thousands of years old. Proven innovations in eco-roof design and technology over the past 30 years in Germany, however, have made green roofs practical and economically feasible. While the requirements of an eco-roof are relatively modest, the environmental, economic and green building benefits can be tremendous. Today’s roofing technological adequately provides for safe and sustainable green roofs.
